Services Offered By Geisser Engineering

01

Inspection

Construction quality control requires soil and material testing to measure the amount and effect of changes in soil density and moisture due to contractor adjustments. Once the maximum density of the soil has been established by means of a laboratory compaction test (proctor test), our staff of technicians can provide in-place density testing of the soil. Through the use of a nuclear density gauge, our on-site technicians will be able to provide you with quick results regarding the ability of the soil to support specific structures. We also offer a wide range of supplemental tests that can be done according to the specifications of the project.

02

03

Surveying

Our experienced staff of surveyors can provide our clients with assistance on any project large or small. We use state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the job is done correctly and in a timely manner. The services our surveyors are able to provide include but are not limited to the following:

  • Topographic Surveys
  • Property & Building Surveys
  • Construction Layout
  • Horizontal & Vertical control for Photogrammetric (aerial) mapping
  • ALTA/ACSM Surveys
  • Flood Insurance Certificates

04

Sub Surface Exploration

Allstate Drilling performs borings, installs monitoring wells, takes rock cores and performs soil probes. Through these techniques, the geotechnical characteristics of a site can be ascertained, allowing appropriate site-specific engineering. Our firm offers geotechnical reports, upon request.

05

Foundation Stablization

New England Foundation and Stabilization Company specializes in deep foundation systems. Such foundations allow buildings to be constructed in areas unsuitable for structural bearing, without removal of the unsuitable materials, by extending the foundation system through the unsuitable layers and bearing directly on the competent soils below. Additionally, deep foundation systems allow existing structures, which were constructed on unstable foundations, to be retrofitted with adequate structural support. The company has made quite a name for itself through use of the patented "Resistance Piers" in raising settled structures back to their original levels. This pier system can restore a cracked and/or leaning structure, which is suffering from differential settlement, to a plumb and true condition, frequently closing cracks which have opened due to the settlement.

06

Testing

We also offer a wide range of special testing that can be performed upon request. Our professional expertise and equipment will help you to fulfill many of your special testing needs. The following is a short listing of the special testing that we offer:

  • Welding Certifications

  • Fireproofing Testing

  • Wood Specimen Testing

  • Tensile Testing of Drive Belts

Special Testing

SOIL TESTING Construction quality control requires soil and material testing to measure the amount and effect of changes in soil density and moisture due to contractor adjustments. Once the maximum density of the soil has been established by means of a laboratory compaction test (proctor test), our staff of technicians can provide in-place density testing of the soil. We also offer a wide range of supplemental tests that can be done according to the specifications of the project.

CONCRETE & ASPHAULT TESTING Because the strength of the materials are so important in construction projects, a number of tests are performed to assure the suitability of concrete and asphalt being placed. Our experienced staff is able to provide complete on-site and laboratory testing. We will make sure that the materials are correctly mixed, placed and meet the specified strength requirements. This is done through visual inspection, sampling, and testing.

STRUCTURAL & REBAR TESTING Structural Steel and rebar testing is conducted to determine the suitability of the material as well as specific behavioral characteristics. Our on-site inspectors are capable of performing the following tests:

  • Steel Erection Inspection

  • Torque Testing of Bolts

  • Welding Inspection (both visual and non-destructive)

  • Rebar Placement Inspection
